PAR Directors Elect Association Officers for 2007

The PAR Board of Directors met Wednesday, September 27 and took the following actions:

•          Elected the following officers for 2007: President Dominic Cardone, President-Elect Bob Hay, First Vice-President Greg Herb, Treasurer Don Roth, District 1 Vice-President Kim Skumanick, District 3 Vice-President Frank Jacovini, District 5 Vice-President Pat Long, District 7 Vice-President Diane DeBaise and District 9 Vice-President Bette McTamney.

•          Elected NAR Directors: Robert Fleck, Guy Matteo, Janice Smarto and Adrienne “Abe” Wagner.

•          Approved changes to the Bylaws that will implement the recommendations of Governance Task Force.  (Changes must be approved again in January to be effective 2008.)

•          Approved the 2007 PAR Budget of $4,105,700 in gross revenue and $4,027,650 in expenses.

•          Approved changes to the Bylaws to conform to NAR recommendations regarding Institute Affiliate class of members and election of NAR Directors.

•          Approved BSRE Bylaws to include the nomination and election process for the recently restructured BSRE board of directors.

•          Approved a policy statement on Affordable Workforce Housing.

•          Approved a policy statement on Impact Fees.

•          Approved a process for recommending appointments to the State Real Estate Commission.

•          Approved the appointments of Courtney Franklin and Helen Miernicki to the Pennsylvania REALTORS® Education Foundation (PREF).

•          Approved  the appointments of Guy Matteo, Lawrence DiFranco, Ted Stefan, Melanie McLane, Deb Weidman-Phillips and Joe McGavin to the REALTORS® Issues Mobilization Committee.       

•          Approved the appointments of Kimberly Skumanick, George Raad, Albert Perry, Paul Garvey, Melissa Sieg, Bob Williams, Melvin Booher, John Capers, Anthony Mete and Ellen Renish to the REALTORS® Political Action Committee (RPAC).
