TriplePlay Speaker Inspires Audiences

It’s not enough the guy can sing. He’s also a doctor and an athlete. TriplePlay keynote speaker Ronan Tynan is not only multi-talented but he’s managed to turn a tragedy into a triumph.

REALTORS® will be inspired by Tynan’s presentation, “Hitting the High Notes: Living Life to the Fullest,” at the TriplePlay Convention on Wednesday, December 6 at 12:15 p.m.

Tynan is renowned for his voice and his personal story of triumph over adversity. His sense of humor, lively spirit and inspirational message about overcoming obstacles captivate audiences.

Tynan earned his doctorate at Trinity College and works as a physician specializing in orthopedic sports injuries. He was born with a lower limb disability, although that didn’t keep him from riding horses and motorcycles. At 20, his legs had to be amputated below the knees following an auto accident. Within a year, he was winning gold medals in the Paralympics as a multi-talented athlete. Between 1981 and 1984, Tynan won 18 gold medals and set 14 world records.

One of the Irish Tenors, Tynan gained international musical fame. He performed at 9/11 memorial services, Ronald Reagan’s funeral and President George W. Bush’s inaugural prayer service at the National Cathedral. He has won international singing awards and made his operatic debut as Pinkerton in Puccini’s Madame Butterfly. His autobiography, Halfway Home, was published in 2001.

TriplePlay, jointly sponsored by the Pennsylvania, New York and New Jersey Associations of REALTORS®, is held December 5-7 at the Atlantic City Convention Center in New Jersey. The convention features educational opportunities, a nationally recognized trade expo and numerous social events.

TriplePlay registration opens this month and registration forms have been sent to PAR members. Register online at www.realtorstripleplay.com or call 888-818-4922 for more information.
