Data Mining Services Committee

As part of the annual committee appointment process, applications will be accepted to serve on the Data Mining Services Committee.  Interested parties should complete an application and submit it to Kim Smith, ksmith@parealtor.org by July 16, 2010.

Description: To enhance and promote the objectives of PAR by providing survey research and related consulting services to members, Local Associations, and others who seek to use these services for political, marketing and other purposes. Members of the committee are called Trustees. They will approve all services for Survey Research, Data Retrieval, preparation and distribution of Survey Results and other advisory services provided in conjunction with any request or service. The committee meets several times a year, normally at the PAR Business Meetings.

Composition: Thirteen Trustees, one from each District, and the current chairs of the Legislative Committee, REALTORS® Political Action Committee (RPAC), REALTORS® Issues Mobilization and Business Services for Real Estate (BSRE) or a member so appointed by those committees/board. The appointees from the committees/board have a one-year term. At the initial forming of the committee those members will serve until December 31, 2010 or until their position as Chair on the committee/board terminates, whichever is first. The nine District appointees are for a three-year term except as noted below for the initial appointments. Term limits are three consecutive, three-year terms. In order to create staggered terms the Trustees from each District will be appointed for the following terms for the initial appointments:

• Districts 1, 4 & 7 – Term will expire on December 31, 2010
• Districts 2, 5 & 8 – Term will expire on December 31, 2011
• Districts 3, 6 & 9 – Term will expire on December 31, 2012
