GRI Online

Earn the Graduate, REALTOR® Institute designation online!

The Graduate, REALTOR® Institute designation is the most prestigious, nationally recognized designation in the industry; the Cornerstone of REALTOR® education. There are no annual dues or renewal fees – as long as you remain an active REALTOR® member you maintain your GRI status. On average, GRI designees earn $33,200 more than non-designees. In today’s competitive business environment you need more than just motivation and initiative to succeed, you need the advantage of the education you receive in the GRI program.

The Pennsylvania REALTORS® Institute partners with Cengage Learning to offer the GRI designation in an online format. REALTORS® interested in earning the designation can now choose between the traditional Classroom Track (seven classroom-style courses, offered across the state) or the Online Track (three online courses taken at your convenience). Once you’ve selected a Track, the Pennsylvania GRI is within reach! Those members who have already begun their GRI designation in classroom-style courses must stay on the Classroom Track in order to achieve the designation.

Course Expiration/Extensions

Online courses must be completed within 180 days (six months) of enrollment. You have 90 days to access and review the course content after you have completed the last lesson in a course.

If you cannot complete your course within 180 days you may purchase a 60-day extension for $50.00 from the Pennsylvania REALTORS® Institute. The 60-day extension period begins from the date your course originally expired. It is your responsibility to contact the Pennsylvania REALTORS® Institute to find out about purchasing an extension. It is recommended that you purchase the extension immediately after the course has expired in order to be able to have the full 60 days of the extension.

Final Exams

Each GRI Online course has a 100-question final exam. Students who have signed up for "GRI Online w/ Broker Credit" must sit for an in-person, proctored final exam upon completion of each course. You will receive an email from PRI with instructions on how to schedule your exam. Students who sign up for the regular "GRI Online" program will take their final exams online upon completion of each course.

Please contact the State Real Estate Comission for information on applying for the broker's exam.

Refund Policy

Once you have purchased a course there are no refunds or exchanges. Please make sure you’ve read all of the necessary information before making your purchase final.

Transcripts/Continuing Education

Within 30 days of exam completion you will receive a paper transcript in the mail for your records. It is your responsibility to maintain the original copy of your transcript in the event of an audit by the State Real Estate Commission.

Upon completion of GRI 1, 2 and 3 you will receive a certificate, pin and press release in the mail from the Pennsylvania REALTORS® Institute. Please confirm that we have your current mailing address on file by sending an email to prionline@parealtor.org.
