Limited Function Referral Office (LFRO) Certification Form:

During the 2003 Midyear Meetings, the NAR Board of Directors approved a certification form and amendments to the NAR Bylaws and Model Board Bylaws to exclude licensees affiliated with a limited function referral office (LFRO) from the size formula dues obligation of Designated REALTORS®.

The practical effect of this change is that designated REALTORS® are no longer required to pay dues based on licensees affiliated with an entity owned by the REALTOR® which is engaged exclusively in soliciting and/or referring clients and customers to the REALTOR®'s brokerage firm.

The model certification form was approved for use by local associations.
