PRI Course Request Procedure

PRI wishes to provide affordable, available and current continuing education and designation courses to real estate licensees and appraisers across the state. In an effort to provide such quality education, PRI currently accepts course requests from local boards/associations and firms. If you are a firm, interested in co-sponsoring a PRI course, please contact your local board/association first.

In an effort to streamline the course request process, please read or review the following procedures and guidelines. Remember that while PRI will make every effort to satisfy your requests, consideration is taken with regards to location, proximity to other courses, class size and staffing needs.

Before requesting a PRI course, please review the documents on the PAR website pertaining to contracts and minimum number requirements. If you wish to request a course or site that is not currently approved by PRI, your party will be responsible for additional approval fees. After reviewing the documents, discuss course options with your education committee, AE, school director, etc.

When discussing pricing, there is room for negotiation in the contract. Prices for students can be lowered should a co-sponsor wish to waive the promotional fees, admin costs and/or site fee. When completing the course request form, please submit a minimum of three dates for each course. Remember that PRI does not accept instructor requests. Please appoint one individual to be the course contact. The course contact is the point of contact between PRI and the sponsoring entity. This individual signs the contract and is kept aware of all status changes and updates pertaining to a course. One individual is to be the on-site staff person as well. This person may be the same as the course contact. On-site staff is responsible for managing the course on the scheduled date. On-site staff may not take the course for CE or designation credit. All course requests must be received on the appropriate course request form. (One course request per form.) Course requests should be submitted by the appropriate dates in order to be considered for the PRI Calendar.

2011 Course Request Deadlines:

Designation Courses: August 2, 2010

CE Courses: September 6, 2010

Submitting a request is not a guarantee of course offering. Once a course has been approved, a contract will be emailed to the contact person on the course request form.
