Caitlin’s Smiles is dedicated to sharing smiles and laughter with children facing chronic or life threatening illnesses. Founded in 2004 in memory of Caitlin Hornung, the non-profit organization distributes arts and crafts kits to hospitals, giving kids an outlet for creativity and the means to heightened feelings of self-worth.
Date: October 15 Location: City Island, HarrisburgA team of PAR staff members will participate in the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk.
Cambria Somerset Association of REALTORS®

Clean Clothes/Full Bellies Event runs through October 13th. Collecting used clothing in good condition to donate to St. Vincent DePaul Thrift Shop because they have a shortage of clothing. Also, collecting food for the St. Vincent DePaul Food Bank that serves two counties and supplies the area food pantries. The office (Realtor® or Affiliate) that collects the most food receives a gift basket of gift cards for area businesses.

We are hosting a silent auction at our patriotic-themed Affiliate Marketplace & Annual Meeting with proceeds benefitting Homes for Our Troops. Homes for Our Troops is a national organization that builds specially adapted homes for severly injured veterans. See homesforourtroops.org for more details.

Greater Philadelphia Association of REALTORS®

The Greater Philadelphia Association of REALTORS® will be working closely with Philabundance and PAWS to raise awareness and provide support to both of these great causes in our local community. Philabundance helps drive hunger from our communities and PAWS is dedicated to saving Philadelphia’s homeless, abandoned and unwanted animals. We are asking for help with the following: 1. We are requesting that a “drop box” be placed in your office to collect non-perishable items. 2. We are accepting monetary donations. 3. We are asking for your help by volunteering your time during the collection, stocking and packaging of goods at the local Philabundance warehouse.

Beaver County Association of REALTORS®

This is our Annual Charity Auction. Last year this event raised $13,000 for 11 local charities. Donations are made from Brokers, REALTORS, Affiliates and Local Merchants. Items donated range from overnight stays to monetary. These items are then used in a live, silent and Chinese auctions. We also raffle 50/50, lottery trees, vera bradley, and have a bake sale.

The association sponsored a steak gate / picnic and we asked for nonperishable food donations and it pople forgot they could make a monetary donation. We had 50 lbs of food donated and raised $250.00 at this event for the food bank.

A gift card from a local food market was donated to the Schuylkill County Food Pantry to purchase food for those in need. Items were purchased to assist residents of Pine Grove with their clean-up efforts after the recent flood.
