Realtors® Reach Out

Every October, PAR asks all Realtors® to give back to their communities during the annual Realtors® Reach Out Month.

Thanks to the 26 local associations that participated in 2015 Realtor® Reach Out activities. This year, nearly 1,000 Realtors® raised more than $68,000, and collected 2,050 pounds of food and 1,000 coats for charitable organizations throughout the state.

Allegheny Highland Association Realtors volunteered for a week of delivering meals to the elderly.
Beaver County Association Held it annual Charity Auction to benefit several local charities and raised more than $15,000. Also held a food drive for the Salvation Army.
Bradford Sullivan Association Held a food drive though member offices.
Bucks County Association Hosted two Halloween parties for families in two homeless shelters; collected food for more than 260 Thanksgiving Dinner Bags; and hosted a blood drive for the American Red Cross.
Butler County Association Held its Night at the Races event and a food drive to benefit Butler County Veterans in Need and Winter Relief Center.
Cambria-Somerset Association Collected new socks as well as new and used blankets to the homeless of Somerset County. Volunteers also distributing fresh produce to needy families in Cambria County.
Central Susquehanna Valley Board Collected more than $800 grocery store gift cards to distribute to five area food banks.
Fayette County Board Collected snacks, mail supplies, clothing and $430 for War & Veterans, Inc. to send to overseas troops. Also held a blood drive.
Greater Erie Board Sponsored a Halloween Games and Ghouls event to benefit Habitat of Erie and raised $10,000.
Greater Harrisburg Association Volunteered in three locations including Project SHARE, the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank and New Hope Ministries.
Greater Lehigh Realtors® Partnered with Habitat for Humanity to build and renovate a home and donated $3,500 to Habitat.
Greater Scranton Board Collected in excess of 200 pounds of food for the Catholic Social Services.
Greater Wilkes-Barre Association Held a food drive for the Nanticoke Food Pantry.
Lancaster County Association Raised $21,500 at its 27th annual LCAR Charity Dinner to benefit the Transitional Living Center in Lancaster.
Lebanon County Association Held its 19th Habitat for Humanity Benefit Auction raising $11,800.
Montgomery County Association Collected more than 1,000 coats for Family Services of Montgomery County.
Pen-Mar Association Held a Habitat for Humanity Build and will present proceeds from its 21st Annual Golf Tournament.
Pennsylvania Association Collected 1,071 pounds of food for the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank and volunteered at the food bank warehouse.
Pike/Wayne Association Raised $2,000 through its annual Basket Sweepstakes for the American Red Cross.
Reading-Berks Association Gathered $400 in monetary and in-kind donations for the Berks Women in Crisis.
Realtors® Association of Metropolitan Pittsburgh Made hats and scarves to be distributed to the homeless in shelters like the Salvation Army and Shepherd’s Heart Veterans Home.
Realtors® Association of York and Adams Counties Collected 15 large boxes of food and $683 for the local food banks and pet shelters.
Schuylkill County Board Collected food and winter clothing for the Salvation Army.
Suburban West Association Continues to hold its annual Coin Drive and Raffle to benefit Philabundance Food Bank.
Warren County Board Held a Fill a Backpack program, collected 375 pounds of food and $400.
West Branch Valley Association Collected $1,200 in gift cards to give to the Children and Youth Services to help families with children purchase clothing and school supplies.
Westmoreland West Association Held a food drive and collected nearly $200 for the local food bank.
