While you know you should be posting on social media to up your business and interact with clients, did you know there are certain days and times it is best to post on specific sites?
CoSchedule recently released a report on when you should post where to get the most bang for your buck. As we recently reported, Facebook and LinkedIn are the most popular among real estate professionals, but Twitter, Instagram and Google+ can also lead to engagement.
The best times to post on Facebook is the weekend. On Saturdays and Sundays, posts receive equally 32 percent higher engagement, followed by Thursdays and Fridays, which both see 18 percent higher engagement. The best times to post? The report found 9 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. are key. Posts at 3 p.m. will see the most clicks, while posts at 1 p.m. usually get the most shares.
Midweek is the prime time to share content on LinkedIn. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays see the most engagement, particularly in the morning from 7 to 8 a.m., lunch at noon and in the early evening from 5 to 6 p.m.
As for Twitter, Wednesdays are the most active day, especially around noon and from 5 to 6 p.m., while business to consumer tweets perform 17 percent better on the weekend. And know your audience: Twitter users are 181 percent more likely to be on their commute while using the app.
If you’re using Instagram, Mondays and Thursdays are the best days to post, especially between 8 and 9 a.m. After 5 p.m. and 2 a.m. are also popular times for the site, and video posts at 9 p.m. get 34 percent more engagement.
While most users on Google+ will not interact (90 percent), people do still visit and read. Posting on Wednesdays, especially between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m., will lead to the most readers, the report found.
