The 2018 Spring Business Meetings are scheduled for June 4-6.
There is no charge to attend the meetings. Registering will provide you with access to the information in Box and will help us plan for your attendance. Take advantage of these FREE educational and networking opportunities. Download the current schedule.

We are committed to being as efficient as possible and to do so, we must operate according to our bylaws. Please make it a priority to notify us if you will not be able to attend your committee meetings. In general, the bylaws* allow that a member with two unexcused absences may be removed from a committee. We ask that you contact Kim Smith or call your staff liaison at (800) 555-3390 to let them know that you will not be attending a committee meeting or the board of directors meeting. *Some committees have different requirements. As a reminder, all meetings are open, unless marked otherwise.

Special Events and Sessions
Monday, June 4
- Noon – Opening Session and Welcome Lunch
In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Fair Housing Act, Housing and Urban Development Fair Housing and Equal Opportunity Regional Director Melody Taylor will speak about Fair Housing and Homeownership Month. Cost is $15 per person and pre-registration is required.
- 3 p.m. – 2018 PAR Candidate Interviews and Firm Forum Roundtables
NAR President-elect John Smaby will address the group prior to the PAR Candidates Session. Be sure to stop by to meet the candidates running for PAR officer posts and ask them questions. The Firm Forum Roundtables will round out the session.
- 5 p.m. – Local Association Leadership Reception
Open only to 2018 PAR executive committee, PAR past presidents, local association executives and 2018 local presidents.
- 6 to 8:30 p.m. – RPAC Night in Monte Carlo
Be whisked away to Monte Carlo at the “RPAC Night in Monte Carlo” event. Enjoy food, beverage, music, access to various gaming tables, silent auction items and sweepstakes events. Realtors® have three entry ticket choices, along with various benefits for each entry level, and everyone receives “RPAC bucks” to play at the gaming tables. Local associations will continue to have the opportunity to support the fundraiser by either sponsoring one of the gaming tables or donating a silent auction item. Tuesday, June 5
- 11 a.m. – General Session
Tim Hur, NAR Diversity Committee chair, will present “Fair Housing, Cross Cultural Communication and Building Trust in Diverse Markets.” Tim is the former national director of inclusion and philanthropy for Better Homes and Gardens. Realtor® Pride photo will be taken immediately after the General Session.
- Noon – The CRS, Pennsylvania Chapter Luncheon
Justin P. McMaster with McMaster Financial Services, LLC, will provide an update on how the Tax Cut and Jobs Act of 2017 will impact the Realtor® profession from two perspectives – how the new law impacts a small business owner and how the new law impacts a homebuyer. Cost is $25 per person and pre-registration is required.
- 3 p.m. – Diversity Committee Meeting
Roundtable discussions will be held with representatives of the Asian Real Estate Association of America, the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission, the National Association of Gay and Lesbian Real Estate Professionals, the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals, the National Association of Real Estate Brokers, the Women’s Council and the Young Professionals Network.
Wednesday, June 6
- Board of Directors Meeting
The Operational Excellence Task Force will be presenting final recommendations, which includes a bylaws change to alter the composition of the Executive Committee. This will be the second bylaws vote on these recommendations.
